Leadership Adams is a community leadership development program dedicated to preparing individuals to become informed, engaged, and effective leaders throughout Adams County, Ohio.
Since 2010, Leadership Adams has brought together emerging and established leaders from businesses, education, healthcare, government, nonprofit organizations, financial institutions, and other sectors of the Adams County community. Through leadership development, community education, relationship building, and hands-on experiences, participants gain a deeper understanding of the county they serve and the opportunities they have to make a difference.
Our goal is simple: develop strong leaders who help build a stronger Adams County.

Strengthening Adams County
Leadership Adams Youth Academy is a youth leadership development program designed to inspire, educate, and prepare the next generation of leaders in Adams County, Ohio.
Through interactive learning experiences, community exploration, leadership activities, and connections with local professionals and organizations, Youth Academy participants gain a deeper understanding of Adams County while developing valuable skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, and civic engagement.
Students have the opportunity to explore local businesses, education, healthcare, government, nonprofit organizations, and other parts of the community while discovering how leadership can make a positive impact close to home.
Our goal is simple: empower young leaders with the knowledge, confidence, and connections to help shape the future of Adams County.
Goals
Develop leadership skills
For tudents to connect with key influencers in the county.
For students to explore career opportunities in the county.
For students to experience service opportunities in the county.
Five-day program.
Educational component consisting of a John Maxwell curriculum.
One male & one female will be selected from all six high schools in Adams County.
Two $500 scholarships will be awarded at the end of the program that is based on participation, attendance, engagement, and a project to be completed at the end of the program.

Youth Academy Eligibility
Basic criteria for achieving this selection are:
Individuals with a sincere commitment, motivation, and interest in service to the community.
Individuals who have demonstrated commitment by past community activities.
Individuals who will make a commitment to set aside five full days in June to attend the academy.
Select one male and one female from the upcoming graduating class.
