Leadership Adams
DAY AT THE CAPITOL STATEMENT:
Leadership Adams is a leadership development program focused on preparing individuals to serve and strengthen the Adams County community. Since 2014, Leadership Adams has partnered with government officials and key leaders in Columbus through the annual Day at the Capitol event. Each year, the program has provided adult and youth class participants and community leaders the opportunity to engage with state officials and learn more about issues impacting both Ohio and Adams County. The event has always been designed as a learning event for class participants to provide an opportunity to engage with state leaders on a variety of topics. It is intended to be a positive and constructive learning experience.
As planning for the 2026 Day at the Capitol progressed, it became evident that the direction and intent surrounding portions of the event were no longer aligned with the original mission and purpose of the program. As a result, the difficult decision was made to cancel this year’s event.

The vision of Leadership Adams is to create a well informed, civically active community where individuals are able to influence the prosperity of the Adams County Community through their strong leadership and their interest in building the future.
