Leadership Adams is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 Leadership Adams Youth Academy, welcoming a new class of student leaders from across Adams County.

The Leadership Adams Youth Academy was originally envisioned through the Leadership Adams Class of 2011 community project and later became a reality with the goal of investing in the next generation of leaders. Today, the program continues to provide high school students with meaningful opportunities to grow personally, professionally, and civically.

The five-day academy brings together one male and one female student from each of Adams County's six high schools for an immersive leadership experience. Throughout the week, participants complete leadership development through the John Maxwell curriculum while connecting with community leaders, exploring local career opportunities, and participating in hands-on service projects that highlight the importance of giving back.

"The Youth Academy is about inspiring young people to recognize their potential and showing them that they can make a difference right here in Adams County," said Leadership Adams Jeff Foster, Executive Director of the organization. "By introducing students to local leaders, careers, and service opportunities, we hope to encourage them to become engaged citizens and future leaders in our communities."

At the conclusion of the academy, two participants will each receive a $500 scholarship based on attendance, participation, engagement, and the successful completion of a leadership project.

Students selected for the academy demonstrate a strong commitment to community service, leadership, and personal growth. They also commit to attending all five days of the program, ensuring a collaborative and meaningful experience for every participant.

Leadership Adams congratulates the 2026 Youth Academy class and looks forward to watching these outstanding students develop the skills and relationships that will help shape the future of Adams County.
