ABCAP Meals On Wheels Seaman Site
The ABCAP "Adams Brown Senior Nutrition Program" is sole provider of hot ready-to-eat home delivered meals in Adams and Brown counties. This vital community service allows seniors to live independently in their home. The menus are approved by a registered dietician. Meals are prepared locally and delivered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. As a secondary benefit to a hot meal delivery, we are able to provide wellness checks day as the food is delivered. This is a vital service to our homebound seniors as it provides a powerful socialization opportunity for seniors to help combat loneliness and isolation. By providing hot, ready to-eat, nutritous meals to seniors in our community, we are able to help them avoid premature or unnecessary institutionalization. The Meals On Wheels program is a link to many residents in the area that are no longer able abe to cook or shop for themselves. "We ARE more than just a meal!"
